問題や争いが解決するまで、最後まで競うことや戦うこと。

主に口論や競争など、比喩的な状況で使われる。どちらも譲らない強い意志を表すが、本当の戦争には使わない。

The two boys decided to fight out their disagreement on the playground.

二人の少年は、意見の違いを校庭で**決着をつける**ことにした。
