タンスは、衣類を収納する引き出し付きの家具で、主に寝室に置かれます。イギリス英語では、食器を飾る棚付きの戸棚を指すこともあります。

「dressers」は複数形です。アメリカ英語では衣類用の家具、イギリス英語では食器を見せる棚付き戸棚も意味します。'bedroom dresser'や'dresser drawers'などの表現でよく使われ、'closet'と混同しないよう注意。
