किसी को या किसी चीज़ को उसकी सामान्य जगह से हटाना; या किसी चीज़ की जगह लेना।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

आमतौर पर औपचारिक या तकनीकी संदर्भ में इस्तेमाल होता है। युद्ध या आपदा में 'displaced persons' (विस्थापित लोग), या वस्तुओं/तकनीक के लिए आम उपयोग। 'replace' (बदलना) से न मिलाएँ; 'displace' में बलपूर्वक हटाना शामिल है।
