名誉や信頼を失うような恥ずかしいやり方で物事を行うこと。多くの場合、規則を破ったり誠実さを欠いた行動に使われる。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主にフォーマルや書き言葉、軍事や倫理の文脈で使われます。「dishonorably discharged」は「不名誉除隊」などと訳されます。日常会話ではあまり使いません。
