Definition

কোনো স্থান একেবারে ফাঁকা, ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্ত, বা জনশূন্য হলে কিংবা কেউ যখন বড় একাকীত্ব ও দুঃখ অনুভব করে, সেটাকেই বোঝায়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

‘Desolation’ সাধারণত সাহিত্য ও কবিতায় ব্যবহৃত হয়, যেমন 'যুদ্ধের desolation' বা 'গভীর desolation অনুভব করা'। 'Isolation'-এর সঙ্গে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না, যা কেবল পৃথক থাকার অর্থ।
