Definition

দুটি এলাকা বা বিষয়ের মাঝে সীমা নির্ধারণ বা স্পষ্ট পার্থক্য বোঝায়। এটা কখনো কোনো সীমানার রেখা হিসেবে, কখনো আলাদা দায়িত্ব বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

মূলত আনুষ্ঠানিক বা কারিগরি আলোচনায় ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'line of demarcation' বলতে সরাসরি কোনো সীমারেখা বোঝায়; দায়িত্ব বা ভূমিকার ক্ষেত্রেও এই শব্দটি ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে।
