Definition

「cruds」は、汚れや不要で不快なもの、または寄せ集めの厄介なものを指すくだけた表現です。

とてもカジュアルで話し言葉向きです。「clean off the cruds」のように、実際の汚れや雑多な物に使われやすい言い方です。書き言葉やフォーマルな場面には適しません。

There are cruds on my shoes after walking in the mud.

泥の中を歩いた後、私の靴に**汚れ**がついている。

Please wash the cruds off your hands before eating.
