クリュ (ワイン用語)

Definition

ワインの世界で使われるフランス語で、優れた品質のブドウ畑や、その畑から作られるワインを指します。

主にワイン関連で使われ、'グラン・クリュ'や'プルミエ・クリュ'などと一緒に用いられることが多いです。日本語でも基本的にそのまま使います。

This wine is made from grapes grown in a famous cru.

このワインは有名な**クリュ**で育てられたブドウから作られています。

A Grand Cru is known for excellent quality.

グラン**クリュ**は優れた品質で知られています。

The label says this bottle is from the Montagne cru.
