Definition
まるで魔法のように何かを出現させたり、想像で呼び起こしたりすること。記憶やイメージを頭の中で思い浮かべる場合にも使う。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主にものやイメージ・感情を突然現れた時に使われます。『conjured up a plan』のような比喩的な表現にも使われます。日常会話より文学や物語で多くみられます。『conquer』（征服する）とは意味が異なります。
