他人の成功や良い知らせに対して、嬉しい気持ちを言葉で伝えること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主にフォーマルな場面や丁寧な表現で使われます。'on' や 'for' の後によく続き、人の達成をただ認める意味です。自分の誇りや喜びを表す場合には使いません。
