凝固する

Definition

液体や柔らかいものが冷えたり乾いたりして固まること。料理や科学でよく使われる表現です。

主に科学や料理の場面などで使われるフォーマルな言葉です。'blood congeals'（血が固まる）、'fat congeals'（脂が固まる）、'sauce congeals'（ソースが固まる）等の表現でも使われます。氷になることには使いません。

Allow the soup to cool so the fat can congeal on top.

スープを冷まして脂が上に**凝固する**のを待ちましょう。
