自分がしたこと、特に悪いことや秘密を正直に打ち明けること。自分の責任を認めて言うときに使う。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
多くの場合、「罪を告白する」「うそを告白する」のように、内容を後ろにつけて使う。'admit' よりもフォーマルかつ深刻な印象あり。法的・宗教的・日常の様々な場面で使われる。
