Definition

物や場所、人が急に活気づいたり、生き生きとした様子になることを表します。物語やイベントなどが面白くなるときにも使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

静かだったものが動き始めたり、面白くなった時によく使われます（例：‘the story comes to life’）。医学的な蘇生の場面では使われません。
