鼻や口から肺に空気を取り込むこと。呼吸の最初の動作。

医療やヨガの指示でよく使われます。'深く息を吸って' や '鼻から息を吸う' という表現がよくあります。'息を吐く'（breathe out）とセットで使うことが多いです。
