এরা এমন প্রাণী বা জীব যারা দুই পায়ে হাঁটে। মানুষেরা সবচেয়ে সাধারণ দ্বিপদী।

'দ্বিপদী' শব্দটি মূলত বৈজ্ঞানিক বা আনুষ্ঠানিক প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটি শুধু দুই পায়ে হাঁটা বোঝায়, যেমন 'quadruped' চার পায়ে হাঁটা বোঝায়। মানুষ, কিছু ডাইনোসর ও পাখি এই শ্রেণিতে পড়ে।
