Definition

細い木材や金属製の棒で、建築や壁・屋根などで物を固定したり支えたり覆ったりするために使われるもの。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

建築や大工、ヨットの帆（セイルバテン）など、専門用語として使われます。たとえば「roof batten」「wall batten」など。『バトン』とは異なる意味。
