「banked」は何かを傾けたり、横に積み重ねたり、火に灰などをかぶせてゆっくり燃えるようにしたりする動作を表す表現です。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「banked curve」はレースや道路でよく使われます。「banked the fire」は昔の家やキャンプで使われ、銀行とはほぼ関係しません。
