「array」は、多くの似たものが特別な方法で並べられている大きな集まりやセットです。数学や技術分野では、特にデータや数値が整理された表やリストを指します。

「array」は技術分野でよく使われる正式な単語です（数学、IT）。日常会話では「たくさんの〜」として使われることも。人にはあまり使いません。ITでは配列というデータ構造です。
