এটি আনুষ্ঠানিক; চাকরি ও সরকারী কাজে বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'appoint to' এর পর সাধারণত পদ/কমিটি ইত্যাদি আসে, ব্যক্তির জন্য নয়।
