आंधी-तूफ़ान वह तूफ़ान है जिसमें गरज, बिजली और अक्सर भारी बारिश होती है। आमतौर पर यह तेज़ हवा और नमी के कारण बनता है।

'Thunderstorm' सिर्फ उस तूफ़ान के लिए है जिसमें बिजली और गरज भी हो, सिर्फ बरसात के लिए नहीं। आम बोली में 'severe thunderstorm' या 'thunderstorm warning' भी मिलता है। 'Storm' अलग है जिसमें बिजली या गरज ज़रूरी नहीं।
