A situation in which someone is treated unfairly or receives poor treatment compared to others.

'Raw deal' is informal and often used to express sympathy or criticism about unfair treatment. Common with 'get' or 'give': 'get a raw deal', 'give someone a raw deal'. Not used to describe legal contracts. Similar to 'unfair treatment', but more emotional.
