ある人や物が成功すると信じてお金をかけること。または、自信を持って結果を予想すること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

カジュアルな場面や勝負ごとの前によく使う。「I'd put my money on her.」のように、強い自信を示す時にも使える。単なる“bet”と違い、確信のニュアンスが強い。
