봉쇄하다

Definition

사람, 물건, 차량 등이 어느 장소로 들어오거나 나가는 것을 막는 행위. 주로 군사적 목적이나 시위 때 사용됨.

주로 군사 작전이나 시위에서 공식적으로 사용됩니다. '항구를 봉쇄하다', '도로를 봉쇄하다' 등과 같이 쓰입니다. 일시적인 '차단'과는 다름.

The army was blockading the main road into the city.
