心配事がなく、明るく自由な様子、または時に気にしなさすぎて問題に無頓着な状態を表します。状況によって良い意味にも少し否定的にもなります。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
やや文学的・フォーマルな表現で、日常会話ではあまり使われません。「blithe spirit」「blithe disregard」といった表現で使われ、無責任さを含意する場合は否定的です。
