特定の目標を達成しようと努力したり計画したりすること。自分が欲しいものに向けて努力すること。

フォーマル・インフォーマルどちらにも使えます。'aim for success' のように、名詞の前で目標を強調します。'aim at'（狙う、物理的に向ける）とは異なります。

You should aim for a high score on the test.
