"wrest" en Portuguese (BR)
Definición
Tirar algo de alguém à força ou com grande esforço, geralmente contra resistência. Às vezes também é usado para tomar o controle em uma situação difícil.

É formal e um pouco literário; raramente usado no dia a dia. Comum nas expressões 'wrest control', 'wrest power', 'wrest the title'. Não confunda com 'wrestle' (luta física).
