अक्सर विनम्र प्रश्नों में ('I was wondering if...') आता है। यह जिज्ञासा या अनिश्चितता दिखाता है। 'wander' (घूमना) से न मिलाएँ। आमतौर पर प्रोग्रेसिव टेंस में उपयोग होता है।
