কিছু একটা দড়ি বা অন্য কিছুর সাহায্যে শক্ত করে বাঁধা বা আটকানো। খেলাধুলায়, যখন দুই পক্ষের স্কোর বা ফলাফল সমান হয়।

'The rope was tied' অর্থ কোনো কিছু বাঁধা হয়েছে। 'The game was tied' মানে স্কোর সমান ছিল। 'tie' পোশাকের টাই বা ড্র অর্থে ব্যবহার হয় না।
