Fazer algo se mover pelo ar lançando-o com a mão, geralmente com rapidez. Também pode significar se livrar de algo ou organizar algo rapidamente (informal).

Usado tanto literal quanto em expressões idiomáticas ('throw a party', 'throw away'). 'Throw away' é jogar fora. 'Throw up' significa vomitar. Em contextos informais: 'throw a fit' é ficar muito bravo.
