Expressão informal, normalmente usada para se livrar rapidamente de algo ou para confundir/algo. Pode ser usada em sentido físico ou figurado. 'Throw off a cold' = 'se livrar de um resfriado'. Não confunda com 'throw away' (jogar fora).
