出来事や経験、物語について詳しく語る、または説明すること。主に文章やフォーマルな場面で使われる。

'tell of'はフォーマルや文学的な文章でよく使われ、日常会話ではあまり用いません。「The book tells of...」のように使われます。

Old legends tell of dragons living in the mountains.

古い伝説は山に住んでいたドラゴンについて**語っている**。
