特定の場所や地点で動作をやめたり、一時止まること。乗り物にもよく使われます。

場所やポイントに着いたら止まる意味で使い、物理的な「立ち寄る」に該当。'stop by'の「ちょっと寄る」とは異なる。'stop to'は「～するために止まる」なので区別して使う。
