'Stick up' pode significar ficar para cima ou apontar para cima. No uso informal, também significa assaltar alguém ou algum lugar com ameaça ou arma.

Expressão informal. 'Stick up' pode ser literal ('My hair sticks up': o cabelo fica para cima) ou gíria para assalto ('They tried to stick up the bank': assaltar o banco). No crime, o substantivo 'stickup' também é usado. Não confunda com 'stand up for' (defender alguém).
