Definición

ヘビなどが体をくねらせて静かに滑るように進む動き。なめらかで静かな移動の様子を表す。

主にヘビや爬虫類によく使う動きです。人の動作にも「こそこそした様子」を例えて使うことがあります。

The snake was slithering across the grass.

ヘビが草の上を**這っていた**。
