비공식·구어체이고 ‘집’, ‘방’ 등과 같이 공간이 너무 비어 있을 때 많이 쓴다. 큰 상자에 몇 개 물건만 있을 때 써도 된다. 외로움이나 어색한 공허함을 암시할 수 있음.
