প্রায়ই শরীর বা বস্তুর সঙ্গে ঘনিষ্ঠ সংস্পর্শ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন 'the wall', 'someone', 'the door' ইত্যাদির সঙ্গে। সাধারণ 'push against'-এর থেকে ঘনিষ্ঠ ও দৃঢ় স্পর্শ বোঝায়।
