以虛構人物和事件為主的長篇散文故事書。

“novels”專指長篇虛構小說，不包括非小說或短篇故事。常見搭配有“read novels”、“write novels”、“detective novels”。不要和“novellas”（中篇小說）或“romance novels”（愛情小說，不是所有小說）搞混。
