イベントや場所に短時間だけ現れて、そこにいたことを示すこと。特別ゲストとして予期せず来ることもある。

ややフォーマルで人に使われます。会やパーティー、特別な場で少しだけ現れる場合に使います。「appear」とは違い、短時間・見せるための登場です。
