湖のすぐそばにある土地やエリアのこと。多くは公園や道、不動産の説明で使われます。

不動産や公園、施設などの説明で「lakefront property」「lakefront view」のように使われ、湖以外（海や川）では使われません。特に湖への眺望やアクセスが強調されます。
