自然または人工の小さな洞穴で、見た目が美しかったり飾りとして作られることがあります。庭園や建物、または自然の中に見られます。

「洞窟」は大きい洞窟にも使いますが、ここでは小さくて美しい、または飾りのあるものを指します。観光地や庭園、宗教施設でよく使われます。「グロット」は人工のものに使われることもあります。
