एक पतला, हल्का, ढीला बुना हुआ कपड़ा, जिसका उपयोग अक्सर पट्टी या मरहम पट्टी के लिए जख्म ढंकने और बचाने हेतु किया जाता है।

अधिकतर चिकित्सा में प्रयुक्त होता है। 'Sterile gauze' (साफ़ पट्टी), 'gauze pad' (पट्टी का टुकड़ा) आम वाक्यांश हैं। गहरे घावों के लिए उपयुक्त नहीं। कला या सफाई में भी उपयोग हो सकता है।
