상대가 원치 않는 것을 억지로 받아들이게 하다. 종종 몰래이거나 부정직하게, 동의 없이 행해진다.

주로 비공식적이고 부정적인 의미로 사용됨. 상대가 원치 않는 것을 억지로 맡기거나 떠넘기는 경우에 쓴다. 'Foist upon' 형태도 있음. 중립/격식 있는 'impose on'과 구별할 것.

Don't foist your problems on me.
