Expresión informal que significa 'al empezar el día' o 'lo primero que se debe hacer antes que cualquier otra cosa', muchas veces sobre prioridades o rutinas.

Muy informal y frecuente en el habla diaria. Suele ir con 'por la mañana' o 'mañana', como en 'first thing in the morning'. No indica una hora exacta, solo el orden en que algo debe hacerse.
