কাউকে, বিশেষত মধ্যযুগে একজন স্বামী বা নেতার প্রতি আনুষ্ঠানিক আনুগত্য বা বিশ্বস্ততা প্রকাশ। ইতিহাস বা সাহিত্য আলোচনায় বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়।

‘Fealty’ সাধারণত পুরনো সাহিত্য বা ইতিহাস আলোচনা, যেমন রাজা-প্রভু-ভৃত্য সম্পর্ক বা রীতিনীতিতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। দৈনন্দিন কথাবার্তায় ‘loyalty’ বা ‘allegiance’ বেশি প্রচলিত। ‘swear fealty’, ‘oath of fealty’, ‘pledge fealty’ ঐতিহাসিক প্রেক্ষাপটে বোঝায়।
