Eliminar completamente algo, geralmente matando ou destruindo animais, insetos ou pragas indesejáveis.

Geralmente formal ou técnico. Usado com pragas: 'exterminating rats', 'exterminating insects'. Não se usa com pessoas, pois tem significado muito grave.
