사탕, 초콜릿, 빵 등 달콤한 음식을 만드는 곳이나 파는 가게를 의미한다. 달콤한 과자류를 뜻하기도 한다.

영국식 영어에서 더 많이 쓰이며, 가게 혹은 제품 둘 다 의미할 수 있다. 미국식 영어에서는 'candy store'가 흔하다.
