'chinks of light' মানে কোথাও থেকে সরু আলো প্রবেশ করছে বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। প্রতিদিনের কথাবার্তায় সাধারণত 'ফাটল' বা 'ফাঁক' শব্দ ব্যবহৃত হয়। ব্যক্তির পরিচয়ে এ শব্দ ব্যবহার এড়ানো উচিত।
