牛肉は、牛などの家畜からとれる肉のことです。ステーキやハンバーガー、シチューなどによく使われます。

食材の場合は数えられずに使います（'some beef'）。料理・レシピでは 'ground beef'（ひき肉）、'roast beef'、'beef stew' などの表現があります。アメリカ英語の口語で 'beef' は不満や対立・ケンカを指す場合もあります。
