अक्सर प्रदर्शन कला (नाटक, संगीत, नृत्य) में प्रयोग होता है। 'audition' का भूतकाल है। इसमें 'auditioned for a role' का अर्थ है– किसी भूमिका के लिए ऑडिशन दिया। सामान्य नौकरियों के लिए प्रयोग नहीं होता।
