Definición

物質を非常に細かい粒子や滴に分解すること。または全体を小さな部分に分けること。

理系や工業分野でよく使われ、液体や燃料などが微粒化される場合などに用います。「社会をatomizeする」など、抽象的に細分化する場合にも使われます。粉砕（粉にする）とは違います。
